12-Inch PaperMatte Display

The MatePad Air features a 12-inch display with 2800 × 1840 resolution, a wide P3 colour gamut and support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate. The PaperMatte technology is designed to diffuse reflections and reduce distracting glare, making the screen comfortable for reading, writing, sketching and everyday entertainment.

Huawei lists up to 1200 nits peak brightness, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and professional-level colour accuracy with ΔE < 1 on the current PaperMatte configuration.

Designed for Productivity

Turn the MatePad Air into a more capable work companion with compatible Huawei accessories. The tablet supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro for writing, sketching and creative work, while the compatible HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard can provide a more laptop-like typing experience.

Huawei also highlights PC-level productivity features and AI-assisted tools for tasks such as drafting documents, presentations and data work.

The rear 50MP autofocus camera is useful for photographing documents, whiteboards, notes and everyday subjects, while the 12MP front camera is designed for video meetings, online classes and live streaming.

Huawei's laboratory testing indicates up to 16 hours of local 1080p video playback under specified test conditions, while online HDR video playback is rated at up to 10 hours. Actual battery life varies depending on brightness, applications, connectivity and usage.
