Fight your fight. EA Sports UFC 6 is the 2026 MMA simulation from EA Vancouver — the sixth game in the EA Sports UFC franchise — releasing June 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Featuring former UFC Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former Featherweight and BMF champion Max Holloway on the cover, UFC 6 introduces the Flow State fighting system, a completely rebuilt Career Mode, two new game modes, the first-ever crossplay between PS5 and Xbox in franchise history, and 150+ narrative events — the most substantial overhaul the EA Sports UFC series has received since the introduction of the Frostbite engine in UFC 5.
Flow State is the signature new gameplay system that fundamentally changes how UFC 6 rewards skill and authenticity. Every fighter has a unique set of real-world strengths — striking combinations, defensive postures, grappling transitions — and playing to those strengths fills the Flow Meter. When the meter is filled, players unlock Flow Boosts: temporary combat perks that open up finishing opportunities, enhanced movement efficiency, and fighter-specific advantages that mirror the real-world edge elite fighters gain when they operate within their natural game. Flow State makes fighting like Alex Pereira — heavy front kicks, counter left hooks, calculated distance management — feel mechanically different from fighting like Max Holloway's volume-striking relentless forward pressure. Four new blocking stances, new game physics, and a time dilation mechanic that briefly slows time for precision counter opportunities complete the gameplay overhaul.
Career Mode has been rebuilt from the ground up with 10 times the decision points of UFC 5 — 150+ narrative events, fitness management, hype building, dual-title fight opportunities, and the BMF belt as a career milestone. A new Learn A Move feature replaces older progression systems, allowing players to preview and unlock techniques before committing them to their fighter's arsenal. The new structure gives players a faster path to the UFC and to fights against established names, reducing the time spent in regional promotions that characterised previous Career Mode pacing.
Two new modes expand the single-player offering beyond Career Mode. The Legacy is a story-driven mode following prospect Chris Carter's journey through the regional circuit with his eyes on the UFC — serving as both a narrative experience and a natural entry point for new players discovering UFC for the first time. Hall of Legends combines live footage, cinematics, and gameplay built around the careers of UFC greats, celebrating the history of the sport in a dedicated mode for the first time.
Crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is confirmed for UFC 6 — the first time in EA Sports UFC franchise history that PlayStation and Xbox players can compete against each other online. EA Play subscribers can try the Standard Edition for up to 10 hours at no additional cost.
