Match. Stack. Shout UNO. The Mattel UNO Classic Card Game (42003) is the world's most-played card game — a 108-card matching game for 2 to 10 players aged 7 and above that has been a household essential since 1971. The rules fit on a single sheet, any number of people between 2 and 10 can play, rounds last 15–30 minutes, and no game ever plays exactly the same way twice. For UAE families, game nights, school breaks, travel, Ramadan gatherings, and every occasion where a group needs something to play immediately, UNO is the card game that requires no explanation and produces genuine excitement in every round.
The 108-card deck contains 25 cards in each of four colours — red, green, blue, and yellow — numbered 0 through 9, plus 32 special action cards that change the direction and momentum of any round without warning. The five action card types are: Skip (the next player loses their turn), Reverse (the direction of play flips), Draw Two (the next player must draw two cards and skip their turn), Wild (the current player changes the active colour to any colour of their choice), and Draw Four Wild (the current player changes the colour and the next player must draw four cards — the most powerful card in the deck). When the outcome of a round can shift on a single card, no lead is safe and no player is out of the game until it ends.
Gameplay is immediate: each player is dealt 7 cards; the remaining cards form a draw pile with one card turned face-up as the discard pile. On each turn, the player matches the top card of the discard pile by colour or number, or plays a Wild, or draws from the pile. When a player reaches one card remaining in hand, they must call "UNO" — failure to do so before the next player takes their turn results in a two-card penalty draw. The round ends when one player plays their last card. Points are tallied from the cards remaining in opponents' hands. The first player to reach 500 points across multiple rounds wins the standard game.
Additional game modes are included in the rules: two-handed UNO for a competitive head-to-head match, partner UNO where teams of two compete, and tournament UNO for organised multi-player competitions. The compact box format (8 × 3¾ × 0.81 inches) makes UNO portable for travel, camping, and gatherings away from home.
