Mega Evolution — the evolution mechanic introduced in the X and Y video games that temporarily transforms Pokémon into dramatically more powerful forms — makes its return to the Pokémon TCG as Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in the Chaos Rising expansion. These are not standard Pokémon ex cards: Mega Evolution Pokémon ex combine the ex mechanic's higher HP and stronger attacks with the visual and gameplay identity of Mega Evolution, making them among the most powerful Pokémon ex cards in the Scarlet & Violet era. The four main Mega Evolution Pokémon ex confirmed in Chaos Rising are Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex, and Mega Dragalge ex — four of the most beloved Kalos-era Pokémon receiving their Mega Evolution TCG debut in this expansion.
The exclusive Charmeleon foil promo card is the Triple Pack's unique product incentive — a holographic foil treatment of Charmeleon in a card design exclusive to this blister product, not available in standard booster packs.
