Each earbud weighs approximately 5.1g, while the Special Edition charging case weighs approximately 39.4g, making the complete setup lightweight and convenient for everyday listening, commuting, work and travel.
The FreeClip 2 Special Edition features a 10.8mm powerful dual-diaphragm driver with a 20Hz–20kHz frequency response. Huawei also combines call noise cancellation, adaptive volume and multiple EQ effects to deliver a more personalised listening and calling experience.
With Bluetooth 6.0, the earbuds support simultaneous connection with two devices, making it easy to switch between compatible devices. Huawei phones and tablets running EMUI 10.0 or later also support pop-up pairing.
Battery life is another highlight, with up to 9 hours of music playback from a full earbud charge and up to 38 hours with the charging case. The case supports both wired USB-C charging and wireless charging up to 3W.
The earbuds are rated IP57 for dust and water resistance, while the charging case carries an IP54 rating. Huawei notes that the earbuds should not be used for swimming or showering, and that resistance can decrease with normal wear over time
